Gas prices suck

The gas prices are getting out of hand.  It is funny that Bush comes out and says there is really nothing that the government can do about it right now.  I am not a big fan of government intervention anyway, but i find it super funny at how easy Bush got the stimulus plan to happen.

At any rate, I saw Chrysler is now offering if you buy some of their cars that they will guarantee you $2.99 per gallon of gas for three years.  I noticed that all the cars that fall under the deal are SUV’s.  If people are going to buy a car because of that then whatever.  I want cheaper gas prices.  Maybe when a car company guarantees me Gas for $1.50-$1.99 a gallon then I might get a car from them. $1.00 a gallon would be most preferred.

Is there any good reasons for gas prices to be this high?

Please stop wasting money

Watching Fox News is a habit of mine.  Everyday I see some new stuff going on about the 2008 political election.  I really have not been learning much.  It is so nice to see that they are no longer talking about Obama and his pastor.  I mean I am glad they brought it to my attention, but I didn’t need to hear about it for 3 weeks.

Anyways I saw that Mr. Barack raised over $40 million in the month of March to help his campaign.  That’s right $40 million in one month.  Craziness!  It made my head spin and wonder why these candidates are wasting so much money, time, and effort fighting each other.  It makes me sick to think they are throwing this money away on private jets, nice suits, stupid posters, campaign parties, and ridiculous commercials.

So what else could they be spending their money on?  How about helping homeless people get back on their feet, helping people find jobs, teaching people how to budget better, donating to local charities, and other programs that can make us better people.

Free money for some

Well a few weeks back I talked about how we are going to be getting back some cash from the Government.  This is to help stimulate the economy so more people will spend. Well the bill finally passed.  There will be about 130 million people who will be getting a check in the mail.

It looks like people will be getting the following money back:
-If you are single and make up to $75,000 you should get around $600 back.
-If you are married filing jointly and make up to $150,000 you should be getting around $1200 back.

Do you have any thoughts on the Government going even deeper into debt just to give us this money back?

Super Tuesday

Today is the big day where some people will go out and vote.  I had it nice.  I was able to mail in my ballot a couple weeks ago for the big day.  I was watching TV last night and it seemed like all the media was talking about were the primary elections.  I hope that today we will have one clear cut winner and be able to see who is representative for each party. I really hope regardless of what happen to Hillary, that she does not cry again.  I wish all the candidates the best.  I really hope they all realize and see that not only is Washington broken but America is too.  If you have not already gone out voted please do.  Use the freedom that has been given to you and vote for who you feel will do a good job.

Any thoughts on how the day will pan out?

So many Americans are going to be getting a refund this year from the government.  Pretty cool huh?  If you are single it looks like you will be getting a check for $600 and if you are married like myself a check for $1200 will be in the mail.  You can get the full details about it on MSN Money.  I still need to figure out what I am going to do with all this money.

What are you going to spend your rebate on?
