How we can help the USPS make more Money

We all know that the United States Post Office is in debt.  More and more people are not mailing as much as they used to be.  We have a chance as consumers to help them out.

Do you get junk mail everyday?  A lot of that junk mail has a pre-paid postage if mailed in the United States.  Why not just open them up, take the pre-paid envelope out, and mail it back them?  They have sent you the unsolicited junk – send it back to them.  The USPS still gets paid and the Banks & Credit Card companies have to pay.

Maybe if enough people do this the USPS can make more money to get out of debt.

    Great idea!

Another way to cut costs is to not deliver mail on Saturday.

Have you been to the post office lately? I can’t stand to go there. They have 6 windows with one employee working in them, and that person is in a really bad mood most of the time. The other 15 employees are in the back listening to the radio and telling jokes while a line of 40 or so stand there waiting for service.

They have foolishly spend probably $15,000 on a huge tv to tell us how great they are as you wait in line. The post office has so much money and they foolishly waste it on crap they don’t need. But it doesn’t matter, they are the government and until it is broke, they will not understand that they have to cut their costs.

It’s easy to spend other people’s money. I have been sending back business reply envelopes for years, because it pisses me off to get junk mail.

It’s hard to feel sympathy for a government agency that doesn’t seem to realize how much mail means to people. There was a time when delivering mail was an honor, now its just a job for lazy folks that think the citizens owe them a living. (for the most part) there are some honorable postal employees that have watched the movie “The Postman” and knows what it means to deliver the mail.
